Privacy and translation data
What deepK 0.1.1 sends when it translates, and what it keeps on your Mac.
Source text is sent to the AI provider you choose
deepK uses the official CLI installed on your Mac to send the translation instructions and the source text to the Codex or Claude Code provider. How the provider handles and retains that information follows your account and the service's policies.
With Codex, the global instructions in ~/.codex/AGENTS.md on your Mac may be included in requests if that file exists. Do not put sensitive information in your global instructions.
Translations stay in memory for a short time
Successful translations are kept in app memory for up to 32 items and 5 minutes. They are cleared when the app restarts. Anything you copy or insert into another app follows that app and the macOS clipboard.
Check sensitive text before translating
Some content that password managers mark as a sensitive copy is blocked. deepK cannot protect copies that are marked late or not marked at all, or text pasted directly into the translation window.
Before sending, check that the text does not contain passwords, tokens, confidential company information, or other people's personal information.
External connections on this site
The home and setup pages do not have a feature that takes or sends text to translate, and no analytics tools are connected. The translation window on the home page plays prepared examples inside your browser. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, and download and issue links go to GitHub.
Reporting issues and third-party notices
When you report an issue, please describe the steps to reproduce it without source text, credentials, or personal information. You do not need to attach real source text or login files.
